Welcome to the Flying Flucos Disc Golf Club!
First Flight: 2023
The Flying Flucos Disc Golf Club, aka Flucos DGC, was founded at Fluvanna County High School in the summer of 2023 by Fluvanna schools network administrator and FCHS soccer coach, Joe Crisp. The Flying Flucos Disc Golf Club is open to all Fluvanna County students and staff with an interest in the rapidly-growing sport of disc golf.
The club will meet weekly during club day to toss some discs and enjoy some camaraderie; discussing upcoming local league and tournament events, watching highlights of recent PDGA tour events, and planning club activities, including: intramural and interscholastic competitions, disc golf course improvements at Pleasant Grove, and hole sponsorship opportunities.
The focus is on fun, and helping to spread the love of disc golf in the Fluvanna community!

Home Course: Pleasant Grove DGC
The Flying Flucos' home course is conveniently located right next door to Fluvanna County High School, at Pleasant Grove Park. An 18-hole Par 66 course, spanning over 4,989 feet of mostly wooded terrain, Pleasant Grove DGC is a challenging, tight and technical--but fun!--course for disc golfers of all levels.
Established in the 2010s with the hard work of some local disc golfers, the Blue Ridge Disc Golf Club, and Fluvanna County Parks & Recreation, Pleasant Grove DGC has been significantly improved in recent years, with the addition of a gravel parking area, information kiosk, and paved tee pads, signs, and markers on most holes.
Fluvanna County Parks & Recreation hosts course cleanup events 4 times a year; one for winter, spring, summer and fall, inviting volunteers to assist with clearing trails, cleaning up tee pads, and general course maintenance. You can sign up to volunteer here!
FCPR also offers disc golf hole sponsorship opportunities. Your business or organization can be associated with this popular community asset.
Sponsorships are available for $150 for the first year, and $100 per year for each following year.
Basket sponsors will have their logo displayed on heavy-duty metal signs at their tee pad for the duration of their sponsorship. Sign up for disc hole sponsorships here!
Specific basket number requests will be considered but may not be guaranteed. Basket number request will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sponsors will volunteer four days a year to help maintain and landscape their basket and tee pad. Bring out your co-workers or organization members for a day of team-building.
FCPR will mow and upkeep landscaping, repair baskets and tee pads and perform regular maintenance.
